1. Puppy Readiness

  • Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old before traveling
  • Each puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a full veterinary health check prior to departure
  • A veterinary health certificate is provided when required by law
  • Health insurance coverage is required before travel to protect both the puppy and the buyer during transit

2. Delivery & Pickup Options

We offer several safe and reliable delivery options:

  • Local Pickup – By scheduled appointment
  • Ground Transportation – Licensed, professional pet transport services
  • Air Travel (In-Cabin or Cargo) – Airline-approved, climate-controlled arrangements
  • Flight Nanny Service – A professional attendant personally accompanies your puppy in-cabin for maximum care and comfort

3. Travel Crates

  • Puppies travel in airline-approved, secure crates
  • Crates are appropriately sized to allow the puppy to stand, turn, and rest comfortably
  • Equipped with proper ventilation, absorbent bedding, and food/water provisions
  • Crates are typically included in transport arrangements

4. Shipping Costs

  • Costs vary depending on distance, transport method, and service provider
  • Fees may include transportation, health certification, crate, insurance, and coordination
  • Final costs are confirmed before any travel arrangements are completed

5. Buyer Responsibilities

  • Buyers are responsible for all shipping and transport costs, unless otherwise agreed in writing
  • Active health insurance coverage must be secured prior to travel
  • Buyers must be available to receive their puppy at the agreed time and location
  • Jeffrey’s Shih Tzu Haven is not responsible for delays caused by airlines, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control

6. Safety & Well-Being

  • We reserve the right to delay or reschedule travel if conditions may compromise the puppy’s safety
  • If a puppy shows any signs of illness prior to departure, travel will be postponed until cleared by a veterinarian

7. Updates & Communication

We maintain clear communication throughout the entire process, including:

  • Transport tracking or flight details
  • Driver or flight nanny contact information
  • Ongoing updates until your puppy is safely in your care
